Business Analyst Operations Support Systems
Wat ga je doen?
What are you going to do?
Being a Business Analyst at T-Mobile is an exciting and varied job that touches different facets of both the customer fulfillment & assurance processes and the network infrastructure here at T-Mobile.
The Digital Orchestration team is the gateway between the commercial customer services and the implementation of those in our networks and on our service platforms. This encompasses internet access, TV and voice services for our consumer domain and internet access, connectivity and hosted voice/mobile connect services for our extended business line. The SCRUM teams that you will be working with are developing and maintaining software that handles all the transactions towards our growing fixed network and service platforms.
Your responsibility as a Business Analyst is the early pre-refinement of the requirements with stakeholders and supporting the refinement process of the Scrum teams of the new epics they will develop. It is the responsibility of the Business Analyst to make sure the functional requirements are complete and well understood. Together with the software engineers you will translate these into the best long-term solution designs to automate the network configuration, service fulfillment and service assurance processes. All, so our customers get the best experience when using their services.
Your stakeholders can be part of Technology, our Consumer services or our Business Services. Often more than one team is involved in the realization of the epics and features. As Business Analyst you will coordinate activities and manage dependencies across teams and even between release trains.
Waar kom je te werken?
Where are you going to work?
With the successful acquisitions, with Vodafone Thuis, Tele2 and Simpel, T-Mobile Netherlands has the ambition to beat the Dutch competition with united forces as a powerful challenger. On Mobile we are already #1 on volume and quality, rated the best network for many years already, on Fixed telecom, internet & TV we have the ambition to go here as well.
The Network Design business unit is clearly playing a key role in our network, it designs, builds, and improves all network solutions. We build the communication products and services that T-Mobile delivers to companies and consumers. We are responsible for the transport of both the mobile and fixed data traffic throughout the Netherlands, optimize it so every customer can watch the streaming services, check their social media profiles and receiving calls over both our 4G & 5G mobile data highway and our own fiber access network.
The Digital Orchestration department builds the Operations Support Systems that support the network business and automate the delivery of the complex customer services. The teams in this department impact the T-Mobile and Tele2 brands we have and are recognizable by a strong collective drive to create and build something valuable all the time. It is the leading software engineering vehicle within the Network environment.
We are in a hybrid sourcing model using internal teams, outsourced parts and bought solutions. We strongly believe in the Agile concepts and all the teams – internal and external – have a high level of autonomy and discipline. The teams use different technologies to develop their systems. The main languages used for the internal software engineering are Microsoft .net and Ruby on Rails/Elixir. The main bought solution is the OSS suite of our partner Ericsson.
The manager can be described as someone that absolutely puts faith in the individual, he communicates transparently and direct, and hopes you do the same to him, speak out, you do not have to be perfect since no one person on this planet is. When you do not know, ask, since learning is most important. He will always aim at a healthy balance in the seniority of the team structure and encourages internal growth and mobility in his teams and overall in T-Mobile.
